Our Leadership Team

Adelita Garza is the lead Pastor of both Puente de Vida (Spanish) and Bridge Church (English). Pastor Adelita, alongside the pastoral team and ministry leaders, are committed to bettering the lives of individuals and families in Ventura County through a relationship with Jesus and belonging to a loving and caring community. It is our conviction that God is able to change and heal any life.
Our leadership team is so thankful for the lives we have seen changed by the power of Jesus. Yet we are also super excited for the hundreds that have yet to experience Jesus’ radical transformation in their lives. The best is still ahead!

The Bible: The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct. (2 Tim 3:16; 1 Cor 2:13)
One God: The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent "I AM," the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. Who exists in Three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; distinguishable but indivisible. (Deut 6:4; Matt 28:19; 2 Cor 13:14)
The Fall of Man: Humankind was created good and upright; for God said, "Let us make humankind in our own image, after our likeness." However, humanity by voluntary transgression fell and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God. (Gen 1:26-27; Gen 2:17; Gen 3:6; Rom 5:12-19)
The Lord Jesus Christ: He is the Savior of all people, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, He is both God and man; He died and rose from the dead and now sits at the right of God and will come again for the Church. (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:18; 1 Cor 15:3-4; Phil 2:9-11; 1 Thess 4:13-18)
Salvation: Humanity’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God. Salvation is a gift from God for all people of every race, age and background, received through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of Jesus on the Cross. (John 3:16; Ephes 2:8-9; John 3:3; Rom 5:11; Titus 2:11)
Water Baptism: By immersion is commanded by the Scriptures. All who repent and believe in Christ as Savior and Lord are to be baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matt 28:19; Acts 2:37-39; 19:1-6)
Communion: A symbolic remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death for all people.
(1 Cor 11:28-32)
The Gifts of the Spirit: The operation of the gifts of the Spirit as enumerated in I Cor 12-14 and demonstrated in the Early Church. The gifts of the Spirit are to build up the body of Christ. (1 Cor 12-14)

Our Values:
God’s Word - We believe that the Bible is God’s ultimate guide for our personal and church life. Every decision we make is grounded in God’s unchanging truths found in the Bible.
Prayer - We believe that prayer builds our faith and empowers us with the Holy Spirit to accomplish all that God has called us to do.
Every Person - We believe every person is to be honored and valued. We welcome every person with their unique ethnicity, status and personal story.
Authentic Community - We believe that honest, caring and committed relationships are vital for growing spiritually. We encourage everyone to consistently participate in the body of Christ.
Extraordinary Transformation - We believe God is always working in and through us to heal the whole person: soul, spirit, and body. We are masterpieces in progress that can always look more like Jesus
Healthy Households –We believe that strong, loving, committed marriages and families are the nucleus for a strong, united church and community.
Equipping People - We believe in equipping people to know and use their spiritual gifts to build up and grow the body of Christ.
Sharing our Faith - We believe we have been commissioned to unashamedly and consistently share the good news of Jesus with everyone.
Giving Generously - We believe God is abundantly generous to us. In trust and gratitude to God, we also give our time, finances, and resources generously to meet the needs of others and to impact God’s Kingdom both locally and globally.
Rest and Fun - We believe that weekly rest and fun honors God. God created us with limits, so we intentionally stop working to be refreshed, to enjoy others and to trust that God has ultimate control of our lives.
